Atlantic Park – Surf Park

Strickland Waterproofing Company played a key role in the construction of Atlantic Park – Surf Park in Virginia Beach, providing critical below grade and pool coating waterproofing systems to support the long-term durability of this one-of-a-kind facility. Our scope included installation of Polyguard underslab and below grade waterproofing systems in extremely challenging conditions — with the project’s base several feet below sea level, we coordinated closely with the contractor’s dewatering team to ensure proper installation in a continuously saturated environment.

In addition to the below grade systems, our team applied Miracote pool coatings across a vast concrete surface area. Seasonal conditions and intense vapor drive created complications that required expert-level rework and adaptation to ensure a consistent and effective finish. Thanks to the collaboration and support of WM Jordan Company, we were able to meet the demands of this complex, high-profile project and deliver lasting waterproofing performance for the surf park’s unique design.
